George McGovern on Card Check

The “Card Check” bill has now been introduced in both the House and the Senate, and the battle has been joined.

As former House Speaker Newt Gingrich notes, “Card Check strips American workers of the right to a secret ballot and gives the federal government the right to impose labor contracts on workers.”

The effort to pass this abomination is propelled by Barack Obama and left wing unionists who see an opportunity in the work place to turn freedom on its head.

But Card Check legislation is even too much for George McGovern, who, in his younger days, crawled into bed with every perfumed liberal cause that could make it to the street corner.

If it is too much for George McGovern, how good could it really be?
